Golfer Reviews
The course was wet & windy
The course was cart path only. I road the front nine and walked the back nine as it was easier to play the course while walking rather than back and forth to the cart. It was very windy and play was slow which made the round less enjoyable. It really was not worth the discounted rate due to the conditions.
January golf at its best
It was cold but they had only a short frost delay. The greens were great for January and the course was in very good shape. They even had the beverage cart out! Love the layout. Number 9 is a great golf hole
Great Course
Played in late Dec, course is still in great condition despite the dormant fairways. Greens were absolutely perfect, rolled true, fast, and relatively flat.
Was first to tee off at 9am as a single, so pace was perfect. Only saw a few others a couple times, otherwise the course was all mine.
I found it a difficult walk, however. Several holes have long walks in between- a few on the front side, but especially between the 12th and 13th. And the walk from the 16th tee to the fairway was brutal having to go around the cove and up the hill. I don't walk very often in this part of the country, and this is usually the reason why.
But the staff was friendly, had a nice chat with one of the maintenance guys prior to teeing off. A great layout and conditions - will definitely make a return visit.
Course was in good shape fairways and greens were very nice.
Best Public Course in the Upstate
Very well-maintained course with wide fairways and flat greens. Great scenery and landscaping. Fun course. Must-play.
Great views
Course was in super Condition.Staff was very courteous. Brought me a handicap flag when it was needed. Played 18 holes in a little over 4 hours with a lot of play.
Back side has great views of Lake Hartwell.
Great course, really fun to play
Drove up from Atlanta to play here with brother, boy am I glad we did. What a course! I'm no country club kid so this might have been the best conditions I have ever played on, not a blade if grass out of place. The layout was fantastic, a great mix of approach and tee shots. Greens were perfect, slower than I'd like but true and plenty challenging. Played on a weekday and moved along nicely until the 14th. Would have played another 18 if we had the daylight. We will def be back, one of my favorites.
Hmassey
Best golf course I have ever played. Would definitely come back
Course was in impeccable condition. If you miss a putt it's on you because their greens roll true. Thoroughly enjoyed our round. Cart girls are great too
Amazing
I drove a little over two hours to play this course and I got to say it was an amazing course. I took my son with me and our teatime was for 2:50, we got there about 35 minutes early and they let us go ahead and go when we were ready. Every part of the course was very well manicured and the greens were absolutely perfect. All in all it was four hours of driving to go play there and I am already planning a trip back in a few weeks that's how much I enjoyed it.
Beautiful Facility
The course was in great shape. It had enough variety in the tees to make the course as easy or as challenging as you or anyone would want. I will definitely play again.
Beautiful views
Nice course. Greens were not what I would call fast. Punishes left Handers that fade just a tad too far down the left side. The ball rolls until it gets to the hazard. Nice holes, some challenging no nine has my number. Don't miss the Tiger Paw on 17. Very well maintained.
Beautiful and Fun
Course was in excellent shape and had some beautiful views of Lake Hartwell. The greens putted true but were much slower than other courses in the Up State. Play moved at a good pace but backed up on the final four holes but not bad for a Sunday afternoon. Well worth the drive from Greenville and worth the money.
Great layout. Not too tight
We'll definitely be returning but gonna wait til it greens up. Fairways weren't over seeded but very soft. I absolutely love this golf course and would play there more often if it were a little cheaper
