The mountains are close enough to touch at this Arthur Hills design. Heritage Palms measures 6,698 yards from the back tees.
Four lakes are featured on the course, which is very green for a desert design. Hills contrast the fairways against the mountains and the desert in the distance, but this is very much a resort type course.
The par 3s are particularly inventive. This isn't one of Hills' tougher courses. It offers average hackers the chance to have a largely anxiety-free round. As long as they don't get too carried away with club selection.
There are a number of dogleg holes that force you to think before firing away. Just hitting as far as you can is an easy path to trouble. It's the shot after the shot you're hitting that must be thought of.

Best Secret in the valley
The course is in perfect condition! I almost don’t want to tell anyone so I can continue to get great tee times on this semi private course. The pace is always good, the course has some pretty holes, the greens are fast and well maintained always….come on the weekend for brunch before you play!
This is a beautiful and challenging course.
One of the best courses in the desert. Unfortunately, it was cart path only. Would have walked less with a push cart. Grass on fairways looked well established. No need for cart path only. A lot of walking for Senior citizens.
Great value and good pace of play
I joined a group for Tuesday ahotgun start at 12:30. It was cart path only but we still managed to finish in close to 4 hours and before it got dark. The greens were in great shape. The fairways were a bit long but still got good lies. Loved the layout with lots of mounding and challenging approach shots. Played back tees which made it a long course. Enjoyed the day but will play white tees next time.
Very impressed
First time playing this course and lucked out as it was opening day and got an awesome price. Very impressed with the course conditions and layout. Nice wide fairways to hit and some challenging greens made it a great round.
Best Value in Palm Springs
Not only was the course great. We got to play and have an all you can eat breakfast for 45 bucks best value in the desert.
Excellent, as always
Played here for the 2nd time in 2 weeks. Can't beat the overall package of great practice facilities, outstanding staff and a nice course.
Course in good shape for the time of year.

This is my first time to play this course. The layout is beautiful. Well manicured from tee box to the greens.

Play it
Very nice course and excellent value for the price. The course has challenges, but doesn't beat you up. Stadium style course with room for the less than perfect shot. Houses were not a distraction and generally out of play. It's on our list for a return visit.
