The mountains are close enough to touch at this Arthur Hills design. Heritage Palms measures 6,698 yards from the back tees.
Four lakes are featured on the course, which is very green for a desert design. Hills contrast the fairways against the mountains and the desert in the distance, but this is very much a resort type course.
The par 3s are particularly inventive. This isn't one of Hills' tougher courses. It offers average hackers the chance to have a largely anxiety-free round. As long as they don't get too carried away with club selection.
There are a number of dogleg holes that force you to think before firing away. Just hitting as far as you can is an easy path to trouble. It's the shot after the shot you're hitting that must be thought of.

Play it
Very nice course and excellent value for the price. The course has challenges, but doesn't beat you up. Stadium style course with room for the less than perfect shot. Houses were not a distraction and generally out of play. It's on our list for a return visit.
Value
Best value for the money. Beautifully conditioned and fabulous greens running fast
Scoring Opportunity
Course was in excellent conditions. Due to the lack of trouble on the course, it is a real scoring opportunity. Very few bunkers or water hazards, with wide inviting fairways.
Desert Course
Fun course. It was in great condition and not crowded.

Best deal in the Coachella valley
The course is always in good condition. The staff are warm and welcoming. Best deal is the included brunch and golf for one rate on the weekend.
Really nice time
Very good conditions for this time of the year. Good value for the level of course this is. Slow greens which is rare here. Played with 2 local homeowners and had a great time with their course knowledge they were able to pass along

Hidden gem
I’ve been coming down to Palm Springs for 20 years to visit my parents. Each visit I try and play a different course as they’re so many. I heard about this course a few years back thru other golfers and decided to try it in 2022. No regrets at all. Played the Championship and Regular tee combo whic was around 6,400 yards. The mist challenging aspect of the course are the greens. Very fast and undulating. Easy to three-putt if you don’t pay attention. Will come back in November for another round.
