The mountains are close enough to touch at this Arthur Hills design. Heritage Palms measures 6,698 yards from the back tees.
Four lakes are featured on the course, which is very green for a desert design. Hills contrast the fairways against the mountains and the desert in the distance, but this is very much a resort type course.
The par 3s are particularly inventive. This isn't one of Hills' tougher courses. It offers average hackers the chance to have a largely anxiety-free round. As long as they don't get too carried away with club selection.
There are a number of dogleg holes that force you to think before firing away. Just hitting as far as you can is an easy path to trouble. It's the shot after the shot you're hitting that must be thought of.

Great course
The greens and fairways were in excellent shape. This course is a gem and you will not be disappointed.. Wide fairways make for a great day of golf. Staff super friendly at check-in.
Great course conditions.
We got a Hotdeal that included a buffet style meal. Our tee time was 11:52 and the buffet closes at 2:00 so we went ahead of time. If you do so, park your car, checkin, go for your meal (which was excellent, nice patio), then go get a cart closer to your tee time, drive it to your car and get clubs. They won’t have a cart for you if it’s busy and you come early so it can be a hassle. Great driving range right there in front of pro shop, course is in great shape. There’s no desert landscape on course, all very green, resort style, quite forgiving, very enjoyable.
Great condition, but unhappy with Sunday buffet
Great course. Tee time was 2:52. We planned on getting buffet at 1, followed by golf. I called the pro shop in advance to confirm that we could get the buffet. The woman at the pro shop told us that the buffet would be open to 2:30. When we checked in on Sunday at 1, we were told that buffet closed at 1 because of a special event and that there was no food available. We had to leave to get lunch elsewhere. I was very disappointed with the pro shop person that i relied on.
Fantastic course, fantastic condition
Heritage Palms has a great layout that isn’t too punishing for the average golfer, yet is challenging enough for most to enjoy. The course conditions were excellent, and pace of play was ok considering it was a Saturday afternoon. Would definitely recommend, and the price, for the height of the desert golf season, was very reasonable.
Good time
Last minute booking and really enjoyed it. Course in great shape.
