The mountains are close enough to touch at this Arthur Hills design. Heritage Palms measures 6,698 yards from the back tees.
Four lakes are featured on the course, which is very green for a desert design. Hills contrast the fairways against the mountains and the desert in the distance, but this is very much a resort type course.
The par 3s are particularly inventive. This isn't one of Hills' tougher courses. It offers average hackers the chance to have a largely anxiety-free round. As long as they don't get too carried away with club selection.
There are a number of dogleg holes that force you to think before firing away. Just hitting as far as you can is an easy path to trouble. It's the shot after the shot you're hitting that must be thought of.

Beautiful course
Fantastic shape. Pace of play was quick. Greens challenging but fair
Excellent greens, fun course!
Course was in excellent shape! Smooth, fast greens. Good combination of friendly, open fairways with challenging holes requiring strategy and decision-making. Had played here a few years ago and thought it unremarkable then, but so glad we gave it another go as it has been one of our favorites so far on this trip.
Nice little resort course
Booked on the strength of positive comments about conditions and playability. I wanted a round without losing golf balls.
Was playable; didn't lose golf balls. Note, there is no GPS on the carts, so bring your rangefinder. Back nine very fun to play and pretty. Tees and fairways excellent, greens a fraction more ball marked than expected. Check-in with staff was unremarkable in a good way. Waited a fair bit, which was digestible only because partnered with a nice couple. Guy in group in front dressed like Baron Samedi would park his cart (usually backwards) 15 yards from his ball and do an agonizing circuit between them. No marshal to deal with that but then again *sometimes" no staff interaction is less stressful than the illness.
Beautiful Course
Enjoyed our round . Pace of play was a bit slow but other than that, highly recommend the course.
Best deal in the desert
Course was perfect and fee included an awesome brunch. Will return for sure.

Friendly staff. Good practice facilities. Course was in beautiful condition. Slower twosome ahead slowed us down a bit yet we thoroughly enjoyed this course. Wide fairways, well laid out. Could have used some water in the cart ball/club wash :(
