Snow Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
About
There are three championship courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, all of which were designed by Pete Dye. Snow Mountain is the original course, joined by Sun Mountain, which is considered the easiest of the three, and Wolf is the newest and most challenging.
At over 7,600 yards, Wolf is also the longest course in Nevada but Snow Mountain is quite lengthy as well at 7,146 yards. Dye incorporated his signature railroad-tie bunkers and water comes into play on seven holes. This risk-reward layout is known for having the best par-3s at the resort. One of these is the stunning 16th hole with its panoramic view of Sheep Mountain. It requires a long carry over water but the bailout area to the right provides a relatively easy up and down and the greenside bunkers don't usually come into play.
Also known as Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Nu-Wav-Kaiv Course.

The third, par-5, 557: For those who don’t drive it 300 yards, the fairway’s left side is the more favorable lay-up zone: it best opens up the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

The fifth is a long and challenging par-4 of 458, but it’s also fair from tee to cup. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Railroad-tie bunkers lie on the edge of the sixth fairway. (Par-5, 562 yards) Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Your tee shot will cross the desert at the par-3 eighth. Running the ball onto the green is dangerous; the ball tends to bounce left/downhill, leaving a difficult pitch. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

To drive this 356-yard par-4, your tee shot should cut the corner—across the desert. A great risk/reward hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Best conditions in LV
Played here today in around 4 hrs. This is THE best course conditions I've seen it in ages. The rough is penalizing, fairways are well taken care of and greens are fast.
Paiute never disappoints. Yes, it's windy. Get over it. It's worth coming here to play/ practice. Staff gets an A++++ with covid precautions.
A MUST PLAY - best course conditions by far unless you're a member at a private club.
Best of the 3
Snow Mountain is the best of the 3 courses at Paiute in my opinion. This was my 2nd time playing it and I now like it even more. Be warned I will be back.
Beautiful Course tarnished by wind.
Always in great shape but you can’t avoid wind. Not talking a light breeze. Feels like a small hurricane every time.
All the Paiute Courses are great and some of the best golfing ever
I played Snow, Sun and Wolf on the same week and honestly, all 3 were the same level of excellence and loved all of them. While I played Snow and Sun early int he week when the wind was whipping hard it was fun. Wolf was Thursday the same week and calm by that time and the Island Green was excellent. You could pick any of the 3, play it forward depending on your handicap and it will be a top 10 golf experience for sure.
Absolutely stunning
A little north of Vegas and this resort is golf heaven. An absolute must play. We played snow mountain in the morning and the wolf in the afternoon. Great value for your money and the course was in immaculate condition. Greens were firm and rolled true. Very playable and no tricked up holes. Will definitely be back.
Out of town
This course is a ways out of Las Vegas but it is worth the trip. The course maintenance is great and the layout is tremendous. The practice area (balls included in price) is first rate with chipping area and large putti g green. Every worker we came in contact with said “good morning” with a smile. Pro shop is well stocked.
Great Course
The course is amazing. Enjoyed the round with my friends visiting from Canada. They sure want to come back and play the Sun Mountain and perhaps The Wolf next time. My home course is at Reflection Bay which is pretty amazing, but Paiute is totally different in a very pleasant way. Will make that drive across town again to play here.

Great place to play!
Had an amazing day at this great course! Will definitely be back!
Great value at a great course
This course is worth the easy 25 min drive from the Vegas strip. Great course layout and in great shape.... Greens are beautiful but fast... Hot deal on GN worked out great! Very fair course in terms of layout and risk/reward, but plays tougher than the slope rating indicates. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area!
Vegas Baby
Beautiful course awesome resort. 3 fantastic courses here w fantastic views. Love it will b back
Plan to return
From the moment we arrived great staff and the golf is top notch. Next time will plan to play all 3 courses. Very enjoyable
Great!
Beautiful course! Great views, the greens were perfect, and the bunkers had actual sand (unusual for Vegas) can’t wait to play again!
Beautiful views
Course is a short drive from the strip. But worth every penny. Really nice track in great condition. Next time will try to play all three courses.
A Must Play In Las Vegas
From the moment you drive into the private drive way to get to the course it felt like you were in paradise We played the course called snow mountain. Everybody from the club house to the Rangers were high class. It was a very windy day that would be the only complaint but that’s not the courses fault. Pace of play was 4 hours. Next time I get to Vegas I will deathly go back hopefully to play all three of there courses.. Just a sidenote breakfast was great.
