About
The Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables sits next to the beautiful hotel, an architectural masterpiece that was modeled after the Giralda Tower in Seville, Spain. Donald Ross designed the course in 1925 and the traditional layout has retained all of its original character. The golf course weaves through a series of canals that used to carry guests along in gondolas. The canals run alongside the lush fairways while towering banyan trees frame the elevated greens. Offering views of the historic hotel from nearly every hole, there are carts available but the golf course is worth the walk. The layout is popular not only for its historic scenery and verdant setting, but also for its playability. Over the years the Biltmore has been host to a number of professional golfers and celebrities ranging from Babe Ruth to Tiger Woods.

Golfer Reviews
Always a great course
The Biltmore always keep the course in impeccable shape. Even after lots of rain, the course drains very well and fast. Staff is very helpful and help in keeping the pace under 4 hours.
Punched & Treated greens Sep 10th
Just for information as they will not inform you, and you find out on the 1st green like I did.
Never come again
Booked a round over Golf now, when we arrived we were teached that we shouldn't book only for one player next time. I guess that's my own decision isn't it? I was asked to pay again for the round though I prepaid it with my credit card. Staff including starter were very unfriendly. They were overseeding the greens, nobody told us and we had to pay the full price. The course was not in good shape at all, well overpriced, will never return to this course.
Greens are challenging
It was a good day of play. Great overall infrastructure; however, as expected, the greens were very fast mid-day. we enjoyed
Biltmore
course was in good condition. very good overall. we had a great time.
A classic gem over 90 yrs old
A great course that has retained its charm. Great conditions for July and the greens were fabulous. Great deal $50 for this course is a steal.nice layout and challenging
sizzling
I play here all the time out of season, coral gable resident, walking. I used to dislike one starter, but once you get to know him he is a grumpy sweetheart. It's a very walkable course which is fairly short with some difficult greens. I like playing there EXCEPT it is a resort course and some players are there a s abusiness thing and take it as a joke, and there is little ranger interference. Sand traps are often unraked and ball marks are ignored, which drives me nuts. If you get a good rate or have the money to pay a higher rate, play The B.
Great expectation
We want to play at Biltmore because the history of the place. With a tee time at 12:42 pm, the staff were rude and in a hurry because a lot of people wanted to play, so the course were full that day. The party behind us were very rude and they in one ocassion almost hit one of our player who was still in the fairway, thta was explained to the lady that were in charge to hurry up you in case you got behind or delay the pace of the game.
In conclusion, poor condition of the course, unfrendly party playin around, staff rude, equals to: bad experience
Poor Tee Time Management
Completely unacceptable having the staff following us around telling us to pick up the pace. The starter had a foursome tee off and then our group and another group behind us within a couple minutes of each other. How Are you supposed to ""speed up the pace" sandwiched into two groups like that? The group in front was playing at a reasonable pace as were we. Starter needs to give more time in between groups tee off.
At the Biltmore
Wonderful opportunity through GolfNow to play this course, something we would not ordinarily have done. We were well received by the staff and the course was in great condition. Because of the timing, we had the course to ourselves for most of the round. A wonderful experience
Classic design, still a great course
I've played the Biltmore about 20 times over the last year - it's my home course since I've moved to Miami. Always have a great time playing here. It's a classic design, so you'll see more people walking this course than pretty much any course in Miami. Everything is pretty much right out in front of you. No gimmicks or tricks.
Very diverse clientele here - members, South FL residents (who also get a discount), as well as hotel guests from around the world. The course also hosts college and amateur tournaments annually as well as the Jr Orange Bowl Classic in December that attracts some of the best junior golfers in the world. Needless to say it has a great resume.
Course is always in good condition - not great, but good. Certainly worth paying up to $100 (resident rates usually don't exceed that). Course is mostly Bermuda grass which is in great shape generally, but there's also a lot of St Augustine grass around which is really tough to play from - but if you've hit it in that stuff you deserve to be penalized.
Depending on the day, you can also fly around the golf course. I played in a two some today and played in about 3 hours flat. That said, busy days on the weekend in the afternoon can run 4:15 to 4:30. But I've never had a round last longer than that.
I love the layout of the course as well. Favorite holes are probably #1, #17 and 18. Course starts and finishes with short reachable par 5s, but they aren't gimme holes if you hit it in the wrong spot. #17 is a long par 4 over water to a tricky green. Toughest hole on the course.
The Biltmore is definitely worth a try if you're golfing in South Florida. There's so much history there, and the vistas with the hotel in the background are unbeatable. $200+ might be a little too much to pay but even if you do pay that much you'll enjoy your round!
Biltmore
Played with the Wife and we had a great afternoon. We will come back after the rates go down as the rates are high at this time. The course was in good shape and the greens are very fast.
Resort course - Average condition. Not worth the money.
Beautiful layout and club house. Friendly staff on course. The condition was average. You can play a similar course for half the price else where. Good pace of play. Smooth greens. Lots of water hazards. Better value and course at Jacaranda.
Good course for Golf Now "Hot Deal"
Played with a couple of nice guys and had a great day. Arrogant
guy behind us (probably a member) complained by our pace of play (we finished in under 4 hours after letting his threesome play through on the 17th tee) We never had them up our backs, but because of the heat that day, as he stated, we should pick up our pace (16th hole) so he could finish. Other than that, overall great day. Drink lots of water. Thanks GolfNow
Step Back in Time
I love Donald Ross' philosophy of course design and this is a fine specimen of a 1925 gem of his. It lacks the inverted spoon shaped greens of Pineherst #2, but they were small, fast and tricky. Overall the course condition was above average. Once again a GolfNow Hotdeal made the day because I only paid $105 versus the $250 greens fee for non-resort guest. Vista's of the hotel are everywhere, and its a grand building worth a few minutes to check out.
