About
The Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables sits next to the beautiful hotel, an architectural masterpiece that was modeled after the Giralda Tower in Seville, Spain. Donald Ross designed the course in 1925 and the traditional layout has retained all of its original character. The golf course weaves through a series of canals that used to carry guests along in gondolas. The canals run alongside the lush fairways while towering banyan trees frame the elevated greens. Offering views of the historic hotel from nearly every hole, there are carts available but the golf course is worth the walk. The layout is popular not only for its historic scenery and verdant setting, but also for its playability. Over the years the Biltmore has been host to a number of professional golfers and celebrities ranging from Babe Ruth to Tiger Woods.

Golfer Reviews
Classic and Fun donald ross design
Top notch resort. From the bag drop to the shop and starter you feel like you are treated like a private club member.
The course is only 6700 yards but the greens offers many slippery putts if you are above the hole. Lots of elevated greens also make the course play longer the the actual yardage .
Definitely worth playing here.
Great course
Very forgiving and wide fairways! Was very happy and I play around the world so I tend to be tough on rating courses and I loved this course.....
Golf cart
Golf cart ran out of energy on the 15th and they never brought a cart to teplace
Biltmore on a very rainy day
The course was fantastic after a couple of days of rain. Although it rained almost all day the course dried out very quickly.
Relatively easy course to play
The course condition is good and it's not difficult to play. The fairways are big with undulating greens. There are a lot of people working on the field to maintain the course. Comparing to other nearby similar condition courses, it's price is kind of high.
Biltmore
This is my favorite course in Miami. Love the design, the length, and the overall ambiance of Biltmore Hotel and Coral Gables. The course itself is not that hard, however the greens are very challenging. The practice area is quite nice as well especially for chipping and bunker shots. Range is only on the grass weekend mornings, otherwise on the carpet. That is pretty much the only thing I would like to see being changed.
Wonderful golf course
I played many times in Biltmore, this time the golf course was in its best condition. The previous day was raining a lot but the course was in great shape. The greens were fast, bunkers with perfect sand and all the fairways without water.
The starter was very kind and changed my tee time because I was wrong.
The Donald Ross design is superb!
Very Disappointed
My son and I were very excited to have the opportunity to be golfing at this exclusive golf course however, immediately upon our arrival were very disappointed. There was no bag pick-up and the starter told us "help yourself to a cart" which died on the first hole. When we called to have the cart replaced no one responded and we were lucky enough to have met two other golfers who drove back to the club house to get a replacement cart for us.
Must experience The Biltmore at least once!
Played the course last spring, I made it a must play this year! The Biltmore is an unbelievable venue and the course has been in great shape both times I've visited. The greens roll very true and at a challenging speed. The course layout is just fun to play. I recommend it on any stop in the south Florida area.
Great Course
Course had a great view. Fairways on great shape, greens were fast but had sand on them. Only bad thing was they were fixing the greens as we were playing. Overall experience was good. Would play here again.
Great scenery and well maintained
Playing the course for the first time as town visiting guest. Very friendly staff, felt welcome right away. Treated as a member. Well maintained course, smooth greens. Good carts and nav/info system.
Bit forgiving fairways, but some holes were challenging. Will return on my next visit to Miami.
Robert
Great layout with a mix of short and long holes
Great course with fast greens and subtle breaks. Bunkers are tough throughout the course. Course is in great shape and worth the 85 dollars I paid.
Great Fun
We had a great time playing here. No waiting at all. The course was in great shape
THe Biltmore
Not a bad thing I can say great course, challenging, pace was great> Looking forward to playing it again!!!
Donald Ross did not disappoint
First time in Miami area, the wife and I decided to try the venerable old Biltmore, designed by renowned architect Donald Ross. Visually the resort is stunning, beautifully maintained, and BIG. The course measures 6800 +- which is long enough to require some thinking. Gps on carts makes strategy a breeze. Sand traps are outstanding, fairways, fairly lush, but firm, The greens are large, with an excellent pace and a lot of subtle breaks. There are a lot of Optical illusions, built into the design, I.E. sand traps fifty yards in front of the green, when it looks to be right next to it. Some carries look short, but are actually perhaps two clubs further... Domed greens, where you don't see the back plateau... My wife and I had a most wonderful day. The course was "VERY" busy, Pace of play was excellent, even with walkers ahead we were never out of position, or felt pushed. Paired with a single named Mike, whose girlfriend Lexi rode along, they were an outstanding pairing, our Thanks to them for all the laughs and guidance on the course. GO PLAY this Old beauty.
Like Playing The Biltmore Course
I love playing at the Biltmore, though I only get to play it when it's on the "Hot Deals" on Golf Now. And even then it's a splurge. The course is in pretty good shape. The greens are fast and roll true. It was a beautiful South Florida day and my buddy and I were paired up with anothe twosome. It took a little over 4 hours to get 18 holes in. Pace of play wasn't a problem. Compared to other municipal courses in the area (Plantation Preserve, Jacaranda, Normandy Shores) it isn't worth the price. But compared to Doral, Miami Beach and Crandon, the Hot Deal makes it a pretty good bargain ($90 vs. $150+).
Great at the Biltmore
Great to be back at the Biltmore. The course is in excellent shape, the staff are on the ball. The 19th hole and Manager Fabio, excellent...as our all the staff, very impressed,. We'll done everyone. We will be back for sure. Frank & James. Cayman Islands
One of the best public courses in South Florida
Old world charm meets modern comfort. Carts are GPS loaded, it has a Country Club feel to it and the view is amazing. You wouldn't think you are in the heart of Miami, smack center Coral Gables. And the golf is great two. There are some very challenging par 4s, good for the long hitters that want to go for it, great risk reward. If you see it on Hot Deals, jump on the offer!!
