About
The Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables sits next to the beautiful hotel, an architectural masterpiece that was modeled after the Giralda Tower in Seville, Spain. Donald Ross designed the course in 1925 and the traditional layout has retained all of its original character. The golf course weaves through a series of canals that used to carry guests along in gondolas. The canals run alongside the lush fairways while towering banyan trees frame the elevated greens. Offering views of the historic hotel from nearly every hole, there are carts available but the golf course is worth the walk. The layout is popular not only for its historic scenery and verdant setting, but also for its playability. Over the years the Biltmore has been host to a number of professional golfers and celebrities ranging from Babe Ruth to Tiger Woods.

Golfer Reviews
Dated and living on past glories
Had read a lot about this place and was expecting more. The layout is old fashioned and the general feel, despite the grand hotel, is run down. Greens were good but tees were ordinary and the cart paths and general feel of the place was totally uninspiring.
Nice municipal at a resort
$92 is about the most I ever paid for a round of golf. I have played nicer courses for less but the resort atmosphere is a plus. The course is wide open with few water hazards so it was fun to play given my handicap. The fairways and greens were in decent to good condition, I think some rain would make the course plush. The pace was unrushed and we were never stacked even with a twosome, I think we got lucky here as the course did fill up behind our 11:39 tee time. Very playable mature course.
Overpriced
I had a great day because of my fellowship and weather. I was disappointed in the course and its upkeep. It seemed poorly manicured for such a historic course and price point. If the course was priced under $100 it would have been great. but to pay $195 for what we got in quality I was very disappointed.
Loved it!
I love the Biltmore. The course was in great shape, the people extremely friendly, and played with some nice people!
A magnificent course
Fairways and greens in an excellent shape. Quiet a few bunkers but the sand is fine and soft. Enjoyed playing in the course
excellent to play
Excellent to play and the hole 19 is the best in the pool. Good green
A Classic Donald Ross Track
Not very long and no amusement park features present, just an honest golf course that chews up strokes around the green. Drives can be errant, but from the second shot to your finishing putt, you need to be paying attention. Bunkers seem to have been redone recently. They are in excellent condition.
Biltmore new try
One of the most beautiful golf courses in Miami.
Great viwes of the Bilmore Hotel.
Course in great condition
The fairways are wide, some water, greens are fast and you need to read the breaks. Fun course to play and beautiful with the hotel in the background.
It's good not great
At the price I paid it was good but the regular rate is for a top of the line golf course and it is not, it's in good condition not in great condition, there are many better options down here and at a better price.
Traditional
Not worth the full green fee price.
I need up playing with guests of the hotel that paid over twice as much as my Golfnow rate.
Enjoyable day but nothing too special about this course.
Simply amazing
Great layout on a traditional course - built in 1925. Challenging greens. Was worth the travelling!
Can't wait to play it again. :)
Old world charm
I play a lot of golf here in S. Fla but never played the Biltmore, well known for it's history and quality. But sadly, I was disappointed. The course layout gives a feel of a real old fashioned championship course. Many different and challenging holes but I expected pristine conditions and that just wasn't the case, not even close. Greens were in poor shape covered with sand. Fairways were very hard, little grass. Rough, was just that , very rough, deep grass so much time looking for balls just off the fairway. But, the grounds themselves are beautiful, the hotel is beautiful and the homes surrounding the course are magnificent and the history of this course gives one a feeling of the past. Although conditions were well below par than I expected especially for the prices they charge, I would hope and expect that this course will be returned to it's expected condition and I would love to play this course again and yes, I still would recommend it.
Fantastic course, bad time management
This is a fantastic course that is well maintained with friendly staff. Unfortunately the time management was extremely poor the day we played, despite of the cart gps caddy that was telling us how far we were behind the scheduled time for the round, the group in front of us was not made aware of their extremely slow play by the course staff. It took us more than five hours to finish on a Monday!
The regular price for this course is far overcharged, we paid a high discounted rate via golf now.com which was a fair value for money.
There are better values in the Miami / Ft Lauderdale area.
For the price on golf now I was expecting a lot more. The course is less challenging than say Cranden and not as well kept as Jacarranda.
Love The Old Standards
Built in 1925 and still stands the test of time. Unfortunately the day I chose to play it rained so hard (off and on) that I was forced to stop after 9 holes. I was disappointed because I was just getting into the flow of the course. I did find the routing a bit strange for the holes I played, but loved the individual hole-layouts. And the best part was that the proshop was very generous to offer me a Rain-Check so I will be able to play and hopefully complete my entire round.
Good value for the money with GolfNow
nice course near the MIA airport. Friendly Staff and a nice Terrace to have a beer after the game.
forgiving and fun
its great place to practice as the fairways are very wide and the only hazards are the bunkers on every hole. I rarely play in the sand but this round i found myself in there at least 4-5 times around the greens. there were very little divets on the fairways so the ball wouldn't get caught in them when rolling.
the greens looked recently aerated probably about a week ago. i would recommend playing a ball with good greenside control as i was not able to get my ball to bite on every green to the speed and slope of the greens.
Well-conditioned and very fair layout with great views of historic hotel!
First chance to play this course and it was delightful. Plenty of great views of the historic hotel, especially on the back nine. Very well maintained course - greens had been aerated a few weeks ago and putted well. Greens are large and typical of Ross's turtle back style. Front nine is fairly benign and back nine has more water hazards coming into play. Fairways are extremely forgiving - very wide. Many fairway and greenside bunkers. Plenty of wildlife - saw many iguanas, a manatee and a croc or gator on a bank! Easy walking course (but I rode as my GolfNow deal included the cart). Very nice clubhouse and ample pro shop. Pleasure to play and looking forward to the next time.
I totally agree with this review
