Journey at Pechanga

About
Journey at Pechanga was built on the ancestral land of the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians. The land is also home to "The Great Oak," one of the largest natural growing, indigenous coastal, live oak trees in the U.S. It is estimated to be anywhere from 850 to 1,500 years old. The golf course was carefully carved from the rolling hills that stretch Pechanga Creek to the surrounding mountains. Great care was taken in creating the course in order to preserve the beautiful land that has been home to the Pechanga Tribe for countless generations. Mature California oaks frame most of the holes and the dramatic elevations provide breathtaking views of Temecula Valley. The challenging layout will reward accurate shot-making but will punish any errant shots.

Great Design and Conditions
First time at Journey at Pechanga and I was very impressed. At only $210 it was definitely worth the money! The course conditions were immaculate. There was rarely a brown spot in the fairways and the tee boxes were beautiful. I loved that there was elevation change on many of the holes and the water features on many holes was a nice touch. Food from the snack shack was great and the practice facility was very nice. I played at 215pm and it got really windy on the back nine. I would play again but earlier in the day before the wind. The bag drop was non existent and the bag boys were not there to tell me where to go at the beginning or end of my round but that is the only bad thing I can say about my experience. Can’t wait to play here again!
Wide Open
Booked a 230 a day before the 4th. Local knowledge would have told me it get windy in the afternoons. Played in 10-20 MPH throughout with gusts slightly higher. All roll in off the Western mountain Range so it’s not always in your face but rather coming across you. I didn’t see a single Person on the golf course until the 13th hole.
The course was in great shape. The greens ran true and fairly quick. The back half of each nine is unique in that you are teeing off to a hole HUNDREDS of feet down. Never played that many holes on a single golf course that had that kind of drop.
I would pay the full price to play here again, but only in the mornings, I was happy to find a deal for 40% on golf now to play in the afternoon. Worth your money!
All around done the RIGHT WAY!
The Journey at Pechanga is absolutely phenomenal from top to bottom! From the super friendly and knowledgeable staff, to the fully stocked and beautiful pro shop, and finally last and most importantly, the immaculate golf course. Everything was perfect! If you're looking for a course that checks all the boxes, the Journey is no doubt it!
This course is absolutely beautiful.
This is my first time playing Journey at Pechanga and it happens to be my favorite course. I have played out of 50 courses. The staff are so attentive and nice. The facility is just absolutely beautiful. Your experience will start in the parking with staff waiting to transport your bag to the golf cart area. Next, the pro shop staff are so welcoming and friendly. You load up your golf cart and head over the first bridge to the chipping and range area where buckets of new practice balls wait for you. The putting green is beautiful next to hole # 1.
The Trump National of the IE
Had a 2:45 PM tee time on the Saturday before Father's Day. Once I pulled into the parking lot, they were able to take my bags down to the starter. The pro shop is well stocked and its members are friendly and knowledgeable. Before the round, they have an excellent putting green along with short game practice areas and complimentary range balls.
The course itself is well maintained and beautiful yet challenging. An added challenge can be when it gets windy with potential gusts up to and potentially over 30 mph at times when we played in the afternoon. Even with it being a Saturday, we finished our round in just over 4 hours.
The course does not have any "boring" Holes as each one is memorable in its own way. If the course does have a signature hole, it is likely the sixth hole, a 488 yd par-4 whose Tee Box sits atop the property with views that seem to go on forever!
The only potential knock I would have for this place is that the snack bar seems to close earlier than other courses, so make sure you get your food and drinks for the course beforehand for your round if you play in the afternoon. Would absolutely play here again if given the opportunity.
Perfect course
There is no need to say anything more about how great it is.
There are many more signature holes that remind me of it at home compared to other courses.
Best course in SoCal
5++ stars. Hospitality was on another level. My new favorite course. Finished in under 4 hours and everything about this place is first class. You get what you pay for and this place is well deserving of the price.
Great course
The course was beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff were very friendly.
Love Playing The Journey at Pechanga!!!
Course is in excellent condition, and was not crowded the day I played as a single so pace of play was great! Highly recommend playing the Journey at Pechanga!
Top 5 Course in Cali
My buddies and I played this course on the last day of a week long golf vacation. Everything you would come to expect from a top rated course was fulfilled. From the knowledge and friendliness of the staff to the overall conditions of the course. The layout is phenomenal and the greens rolled true. Even the fully stocked locker room was a pleasant surprise. Pace of play was slow, but we came to terms with it by enjoying some amazing views. This is a must play course and you won’t be disappointed. After the round, take the money you won from your buddies and head over to the casino.
