Thistle Golf Club - Stewart Course

I played here as a single and was paired up with three other outstanding players. The staff were extremely friendly and inviting. They answered all of my questions and were very accommodating. I felt as if I were a member of the club even though I was visiting for the first time.

The course was very well maintained, the carts all had interactive GPS, tees, ice in the included cooler and a clean towel for each player.

Every hole was clean, freshly cut and the cart paths were in great shape. All of the hazards, traps and bunkers were freshly raked and the grass has been very well watered, even during the most recent heatwave.

The rangers were all very nice and their names were prominently listed on each of their respective carts. The snack cart came around four times during our 18 hole round and she was very friendly.

The only small downside is one of the three courses was closed due to maintenance and construction. But, they were very helpful in letting us know where to go and I enjoyed playing 9holes on one course and nine holes on another due to the maintenance.

Overall a wonderful experience at the Thistle and I will be back to play again.

This golf course is amazing. The layout and conditions are exceptional!

My wife and I played here for the first time and enjoyed the course, on a very HOT day. Couldn't drink enough water to stay hydrated.

Saw the ranger several times which was good to keep play moving. Course is in good shape and a very nice track. greens were quick but no to quick. Do to heavy rain it was cart path only, and seemed we always hit away from that path. Club house is magnificent, and they tend to do 10 minute tee times vs most who do 8 minute.

Only DELTA would be the starters don't load you up on a cart until about 5 minutes before your time, so you have to fill out the score card and get things ready in shortened time period. Only place I have seen this. The staff was friendly and helpful..

Certainly will play here again...

Local favorite and always in good shape. Cameron is closed till late Summer, but Stewart/Mckay combo gives you all the shotmaking & asthetics you want.

I loved the course. I would recommend it but better if you played with someone that has played it . I played with someone that plays it often and they were able to help me immensely. Course was in great shape.

Great course great layout perfect condition fast greens

Thistle was by far the best golf course we played while in myrtle beach. Greens rolled well, bunkers were well groomed and tee decks were flat. They have alot of yardage options as well. Would recommend 100%.

Thistle is a great course for handicaps that are low. Lots of forced carries. Cart attendants and pro shop were very helpful and worked hard to make everyone happy.

It is a very good course but you better bring your A game.

Great place to play while on vacation. Make it a buddy trip to do activity. Very welcoming luxury feel and well groomed golf course. I played with some members that helped stay out of trouble and shot a low score.

Starting with the clubhouse to the course this golf club has a private course feel to it. Great service awesome course conditions and playable layout. This is a definite recommendation to players of mid to low handicap. Enjoy!!

Thistle is the Cadillac in my opinion. Little pricey but if you’re looking for a great experience, great greens, and great atmosphere this is the place! Treat you like royalty. Bravo
