Snow Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
About
There are three championship courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, all of which were designed by Pete Dye. Snow Mountain is the original course, joined by Sun Mountain, which is considered the easiest of the three, and Wolf is the newest and most challenging.
At over 7,600 yards, Wolf is also the longest course in Nevada but Snow Mountain is quite lengthy as well at 7,146 yards. Dye incorporated his signature railroad-tie bunkers and water comes into play on seven holes. This risk-reward layout is known for having the best par-3s at the resort. One of these is the stunning 16th hole with its panoramic view of Sheep Mountain. It requires a long carry over water but the bailout area to the right provides a relatively easy up and down and the greenside bunkers don't usually come into play.
Also known as Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Nu-Wav-Kaiv Course.

The third, par-5, 557: For those who don’t drive it 300 yards, the fairway’s left side is the more favorable lay-up zone: it best opens up the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

The fifth is a long and challenging par-4 of 458, but it’s also fair from tee to cup. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Railroad-tie bunkers lie on the edge of the sixth fairway. (Par-5, 562 yards) Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Your tee shot will cross the desert at the par-3 eighth. Running the ball onto the green is dangerous; the ball tends to bounce left/downhill, leaving a difficult pitch. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

To drive this 356-yard par-4, your tee shot should cut the corner—across the desert. A great risk/reward hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Outstanding
This place is outstanding, great layout, superb conditioning, exceptional service. I could play Paiute every day. We caught the Snow par threes into a decent breeze and they are just fantastic golf holes. When in Vegas...head this way.
Quality
This is a total quality experience. It will enhance everything you love about golf and nature. GO !!
Great course
Our foursome played 5 good courses in Vegas over 8 days and we all agreed this was the best. This is the course we’d all want to come back to. Practice facilities, course condition, greens, all was number 1.
Nice layout with fast greens.
Paiute staff were very friendly and eager to make the experience with their courses enjoyable! The courses were in nice condition with fast greens.
Good, not great.
Gorgeous location. Course was in good condition. Greens were alternately lightning fast and moderately quick, making putting frustrating. Warm up/practice area is well designed, but the hitting surface on the range was garbage, and the range balls were ancient yellow pinnacles, like you'd find at any crappy range. Was surprised by that and disappointed in the conditons after a round at another L.V. course the day before where the conditions and amenities were outstanding.. Not bad, but would not play here again given all the L.V. options.
Accidentally booked wrong day on golf now
The golf shop, even though they got paid when I booked a day too early wouldn’t work with me to try to rebook
Nothing but time
We’ve played Wolf before and left after 15 holes and 5 hours— thought we would try Snow on a Monday - No good— pace of play was bad because Marshall’s let a group who had two holes open in front of them continue to back up course. Our round was 4:41 but as we finished 18, there were three groups on number 10– enjoyed our pairing, but will not make the trip out here again.
Great conditions
We played snow mountain the starter was super friendly and gave us great advice on how to read these fast greens course in great condition for the winter time
If you are into SLOW play
The course was nice, greens were tricky— but the TURNOFF, was two groups in front of us had 2 holes open the entire day. The marshall seem to have no backbone in telling them they were out of position. It was a 4:40 round—which doesn’t seem bad, except the waiting—when we finished 18, there were 3 groups on number 10—-so, they were going to miserable because of the group early on with slow play. But hey, I am sure they had a great time
The Course was good, but the wind made it difficult to play...especially putting down slopes
Great Course!
A must play course if you’re in Vegas. Will definitely come back again soon.
