The Biltmore Golf Course

After staying two nights in the iconic Miami Biltmore Hotel next door, I couldn't wait to tackle this equally historic Donald Ross course. Mother Nature had other plans. I was only able to get through 12 holes before the rains that have plagued South Florida came pouring down again. This was only the northern tip of a tropical storm, not the hurricane winds from Irma that ripped down hundreds of trees and branches on the course earlier this fall. The piles of debris I could see lining several fairways also line many of the streets in the surrounding neighborhoods. The entire region is still making a comeback. All in all, conditions were good. The greens putted tricky tough.

The holes I did play were very much a treat. I hope to come back. By then, a new Jim McLean golf school will be operating out of the expansive practice facilities, adding another exciting chapter to this legendary golf resort. It opens Jan. 1.

Course and staff were nice at chek-in. However, when I called in a group for having fallen back 1.5 holes on a Staurday, they said a marshall would be right over. Never showed and this added at least an extra hour to play. Lying is not good. Paying a lot to have to wait because of ignorance is really bad. I will def consider other options while visiting Miami.

Very nice course. A little pricey unless you get a deal. Best practice area around and the employees are helpful.

Course just recovering from Hurricane Irma still a lot of fallen trees and branched on the course.

Not sure what all the fuss is about the Biltmore course. We found it quite ho hum. The grass I many areas is very patchy. For the prices charged, the course should be immaculate. Greens were the excellent and consistent.

I'd play it again only if I got a great deal.

Good course. Beautiful place, fun to play. The course is in good condition. The service and staff are great.

Expectations were high but quickly disappointed due to what seemed to be over booking and kids summer golf tournament. Course was beautiful but again, playing after groups of kids was evident as to the wear and tear on the course. Cart was not fully charged and needed to be changed out at the turn. New cart had no GPS, disappointing again.

This is an old Florida course that is worth playing. It has nice wide fairways and a good course for all skill levels. The condition was very good. Greens were nice a pretty fast. The range was just OK. There is a nice putting great and large chipping area. The Biltmore Hotel makes for an impressive backdrop. The value for the money was excellent. The GPS on the carts makes for fast play.

Course management is key. Greens were great and pace of play was perfect.

Excellent golf course, very well operated, the tees and the greens are in very good shape. First time time for me but I am definitely returning. Good pace of play
