Snow Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
About
There are three championship courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, all of which were designed by Pete Dye. Snow Mountain is the original course, joined by Sun Mountain, which is considered the easiest of the three, and Wolf is the newest and most challenging.
At over 7,600 yards, Wolf is also the longest course in Nevada but Snow Mountain is quite lengthy as well at 7,146 yards. Dye incorporated his signature railroad-tie bunkers and water comes into play on seven holes. This risk-reward layout is known for having the best par-3s at the resort. One of these is the stunning 16th hole with its panoramic view of Sheep Mountain. It requires a long carry over water but the bailout area to the right provides a relatively easy up and down and the greenside bunkers don't usually come into play.
Also known as Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Nu-Wav-Kaiv Course.

The third, par-5, 557: For those who don’t drive it 300 yards, the fairway’s left side is the more favorable lay-up zone: it best opens up the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

The fifth is a long and challenging par-4 of 458, but it’s also fair from tee to cup. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Your tee shot will cross the desert at the par-3 eighth. Running the ball onto the green is dangerous; the ball tends to bounce left/downhill, leaving a difficult pitch. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

To drive this 356-yard par-4, your tee shot should cut the corner—across the desert. A great risk/reward hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Always a great course
I have played this course a few times and it is one of my favorites because the course is always in exceptional condition.
Snow Mountain Course Paiute
Great track. The overall condition was excellent except that it had just been punched and sanded. The staff offered to put us out on one of the other tracks but I choose to play the Snow Course. There is no doubt I would have rate condition as excellent if I had played it a week later. Very nice and friendly staff. Will definatley do again in the further. Some real nice risk reward shots on this track!!!!! Impressive plus great scenery.
Snow Mountain Vegas
The course is very nice and affordable. However, it is little far from downtown.
Lovely day not windy. Beautiful course
First time playing Snow, played Wolf last time. Staff were extremely helpful as driver broke on practice range and they lent me a replacement at no charge for my round. Course was in good shape, good pace of play. Restaurant is nice for quick lunch and drinks. Well worth the drive. Had a good round and will definitely return to play Sun and Wolf.
Awesome Round
Great round of golf. Finished in 3.5 hours. Greens were soft. Highly recommended
Don't Miss Playing Coyote Springs when in Vegas
This was my second time playing at this course. Coyote Springs is in the middle of nowhere about 1 hour north of LV. It is an easy drive and well worth the time. The layout is beautiful and picturesque. The course is challenging with very few flat lies, lots of sand traps and some water holes. We were a two-some and connected with another nice two-some. While it was a 5- hour round, I should say that we felt that the pacing was very good and we only waited a few times for the entire round. The practice facility is outstanding. The only negative comment is that they could have done better with more frequent food cart service and better quality food in the carts. Best that you bring your own sandwiches, but good variety of snacks/drinks.
Great as usual
Great course, played the par 3's 1 under. The greens are quick but fair. Staff is great.
Great Course!!! Must go!!
Had a great time at the Snow Course!! It was in excellent condition and the weather was perfect!! Unfortunately the restaurant was closed because of a mechanical issue otherwise I'd comment on the food too!
pauite golf course
the course was great it was a tough course but it was agood time and very challenging i will go back
amazing course
Played this course on a beautiful day. As a 16 handicap and not playing in nearly 5 months, due to MN weather, I played well. The course has room for errors, bit favors a good shot. Will definitely be back!
Desert Heavenly Golf
WOW!!! I can't wait to get back. This was an amazing couple of days of thoroughly enjoyable golf with great staff and a superb facility. You gotta golf here!!
Making My Bucket List
What a treat to play Paiute. Long on my bucket list, this golf club did not disappoint. all aspects of the experience from the staff knowledge and friendliness,
quality of equipment and facilities, pace of play, course condition. All over the top. We will be back every chance we get. Thank you to all the staff at Paiute for making memories last a lifetime and come true.
Beautiful Course
My second time playing here. Unfortunately, the weather was far from perfect - windy, cold with snow on the mountains in the backdrop. I was able to play much earlier than my tee time because the weather kept most players away. Played as a single and finished in 3 hours, never took off my glove and kept my right hand in my coat pocket while driving the cart. It was cold, but the course was beautiful and as with my last visit, the staff was very friendly. Will play Paiute again when visiting Las Vegas.
Challenging Course With Excellent Facilities...but far from the strip
Paiute Snow Mountain is an excellent course with lightenin quick greens and beautiful scenery. Be sure to keep your tee shot on the fairway...and don't bother to look for it if you don't. The course is far from the strip. If you're coming in from out of town, and you're staying on the strip, be prepared to spend $180 round trip on cab fares. It may be worth your while to rent a car for the day.
Always love playing Paiute
These are 3 of my favorite courses in town to play and got a great in season rate @ Golf. now. Only complaint was that almost every hole had an up front pin placement. No variety at all when shooting @ flags. Also some fairways near the greens were hardpan with very short grass. Made it difficult to chip. Other than that a very enjoyable day out.
Excellent!
Played this course after playing the sun mountain course 5 days before. Had an excellent golf experience, not as windy as the last time. Excellent fairways and greens!
Snow matches the wind and cold
The course itself was in outstanding condition, it was firm but fair. The greens were very consistent. However the wind was blowing at 30 - 40 MPH which made reaching or holding a green almost impossible. There are false fronts and run offs around the greens so running the ball up is not possible.
I would have loved to play this course in warmer (41 degrees wind chill) and see how it played.
Of the 3 courses on the property this one seemed to be the best cared for. Staff again was very friendly and helpful.
Recommend the yardage book if you haven't played here before.
Snow Mountain
Great golf course. Playing conditions were outstanding. Will be back in the future
Great looking course
The condition of the course was great. Greens were great. The only thing was the pace of play was extremely slow. They had lots of staff out driving around on the course checking things out maybe tell some people they should play from different tees
Great day at the Snow Course
It was a beautiful day at the course and this course is one of the best prepared in the valley. Only issue I could find was I didn't get there early enough to get fully warmed up at the range, which was busy but had plenty of room for us to hit. My bad and not the club's.Paired up with a father/son team from Wy. and it was a pleasure golfing with them. Bubba could crush the ball and his dad was no slouch. They were very accommodating to us as we are older and new at this so we slowed their pace down and they were very kind about it. All in all one of the best days of golf we have had in awhile.
