Sun Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort

Really liked playing here, wind conditions make the course play longer, on most holes you better use more club. The wind made it feel much cooler than the ambient temperature which was great. We played the sun course and would love to play the other two next time out.

Played the Sun Mountain course during twilight (2:30 tee time). Great pace, gorgeous course in excellent condition, staff extremely friendly and attentive to your needs BEFORE even asking. Will definitely recommend and be back to play the other two courses.

The staff were extremely helpful, wildlife was abundant and course holes were brilliant and well mark. Amazing golf excursion.

Our past spring visits had us experience howling winds and unseasonably cool temperatures, but not this time. No extra layers necessary. Great course conditions, bright sunny day, and we were joined by a local restauranteur who owns a small chain. We enjoyed a complimentary breakfast the next day thanks to that single-digit handicapper who just boomed 'em off the tees and was sinking putts from everywhere. Afterwards, we hit the 19th hole and enjoyed our favorite adult beverages. Definitely worth the drive from the strip and be sure to use your GPS in your car or phone so you don't miss your exit near downtown like I did ! When we check into the Pro Shop assistant did greet us but never did mention they had a tournament on our course to let us know the play might be slow. We got to hole 10 and had 3 groups waiting to tee off including us. My son call the Pro Shop however no one answer the phone. He call again on hole # 11 and informed the person who he talk to there was a big back up He felt the Pro Shop didn't seem to care. The Ranger finally came around when we were on hole # 13 by the putting green went right by us without even stopping or saying he took care of slow play. Need to train your staff how to handle customers. The sad thing the other 3 all worked at a casino and a lot of people always ask them where is a good place to play. Took us over 5 hours to play!

A friend recommended Paiute to me and I wasn't disappointed. The course was in great condition and the course was challenging without being ridiculous. The views were fantastic. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend.

This place is absolutely fantastic!!!! You cannot beat the views. Staff was super friendly, the course in great shape and the weather superb. I played it 3 days in a row - May 1 it was windier than I had ever seen it (steady30-40 mph winds). May 2 was picture perfect - barely any wind at all. May 3 was what you would expect from a course so out in the open - light breezes with occasional gusts. Very challenging, but if you can keep it in the green stuff (fairway or rough) you can shoot a good score. I cannot believe I never played here before, and can't see playing anywhere else in Vegas after.

No homes or condos on any course and very player friendly

I've played all three courses here last year and played again during my visit to Las Vegas in April 2013. It's very quick and easy to get to from downtown LV. I really enjoy this golf course. Beautiful views. Drive placement is critical, or you will lose a lot of balls.

Played on a sun-drenched Sunday. Pace of play was a little slow, but not terrible for a Sunday. Facility is absolutely beautiful. Staff is excellent. I think the Sun and Wolf courses (played Wolf in the afternoon) would be awesome if there were just some sort of shade around the tee boxes. We ended up waiting on the tee most every hole and there are absolutely NO TREES. We all know that the Vegas heat is manageable if you can just get in the shade. By the end of the day, we felt baked. Great layout, well maintained.

It took about 25 minutes drive but trust me it's worth it. A little warning on green aerification this time of year.

The greens were in poor shape and the course was overwhelmed by grasshoppers to the point we considered walking off.

I'd make this course a must stop if you are golfing in Vegas! Beautiful views, great fairways! Greens were a little unpredictable but should be nice when in a few weeks!

The Paiute courses are some of the best in the Las Vegas area.

A little far from my home in LV but definitely worth the commute. Excellent course in excellent condition. We played on a day with low wind which made it much more enjoyable. Can not wait to play it again. Thanks Golf Now for the great discount off their regular weekend rates.

Sun Course plays around 7100 yds but seems shorter. It is very well maintained; the tee boxes, rough, fairway, bunkers and greens. Quite a few bunkers on the course but all are playable if you happen to get into one. Played with a gentleman who works in the clubhouse, he along with the rest of the staff i encountered were friendly. Best bag drop setup i've seen in town. Hoping to play the Wolf course soon.

I had the opportunity to play the Sun Mountain Course at Paiute. The course was in superb shape, and the course offers a challenging but fair layout. If you are willing to drive 25 minutes from the strip I would highly recommend Paiute Golf Course.

Great course. Played long because of the wind on the day we played.
Bunkers were a little hard and need to be churned at the bottom.

Will definitely play again when in the Las Vegas area. Played
