Thistle Golf Club - MacKay Course

Haven’t played it since 2009, but knew of its reputation and it lived up to it. Conditions were excellent as well as the staff. Ended up playing with another single as the twosome I was supposed to play with didn’t show up and we had a great time. Look forward to playing again.

The Thistle has continued to invest in facilities and it shows. A number of other good courses have not, such as Oyster Bay. Even tough Thistle costs a bit more than other courses, we prefer to play well maintained and conditioned courses.

Course was in good shape. Staff is nice, food is really bad. Simple suggestion - sell things like Chicken salad in a cup and a simple turkey wrap a la carte, for golfers at the turn. Much healthier option and old greasy fries.

Wonderful course, great facilities, very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely come back.

Got paired up with a couple of randoms. Best pairing I ever had off GolfPass as a single player. Chamber of Commerce day. Course was great shape as usual. Greens ran true. Shot 80 from the whites. Played in less than four hours. 68 year old golfer. Loved it.

Im from NJ and i enjoyed this course so much. Aw wild life that you dont see in NJ. Very impressed from the moment i drove in to the gated community. To the 18th tee

Pace of play was very slow and the ranger was mo where to be found but other than that awsome day

Fairways and greens were in pristine condition. Very challenging course with a good mix of bunkers and water. Can't wait to come back!

I was recommended this course by my PGA Pro instructor and found a great GolfNow deal, so we thought we would try it. We were blown away by the facilities, the friendliness of the staff, the immaculate course conditions. The carts have the cushy seats with the GPS to the flag. It was phenomenal. The condition of the course was the best I've seen in the area. I couldn't recommend the course more.

Our top course of the week! We played Stewart to McKay. Stewart is for us a great 9, with some beautiful golf shots to do. We loved hole #4. Conditions were simply perfect. It was worth every penny for sure! I would definitly be back to this golf course.

Course was in amazing shape and beautiful scenery. Clubhouse is unbelievable with a great staff.

Course was in great shape for an early season round. My group consisted of some high handicappers and while there was a A LOT of sand to contend with, it was a very enjoyable round and no one had a bad day.

This was my second time playing the course. All the staff from the cart guys to the pros and the wait staff are all very courteous and extremely nice. The course is all overseeded and very well manacured. The only negative thing I can say is I wish the greens were faster. They are in great shape and smooth but slow. I would definitely put this course on your play list.

Nice course… Nice staff. Seemed to be friendly to all folks that golf. I had a great experience. Rangers were visible and the cart girl was available at least 4 times during the round. …awesome! Clubhouse is also nice. Course is shorter even from the blue tee but challenging. Clubhouse is quick with your order also. Range ball come with the round. I would say if you don’t want to pay th Grand Dunes, TPC and Barefoot prices but want the same type of quality course. This will do!

Perfect day at my favorite course! So beautiful & well maintained. Greens are so pretty & carpetlike.

A few challenging holes keep you on your toes & wanting to try them again. The restaurant also has many tasty items in a nice setting.
