Snow Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
About
There are three championship courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, all of which were designed by Pete Dye. Snow Mountain is the original course, joined by Sun Mountain, which is considered the easiest of the three, and Wolf is the newest and most challenging.
At over 7,600 yards, Wolf is also the longest course in Nevada but Snow Mountain is quite lengthy as well at 7,146 yards. Dye incorporated his signature railroad-tie bunkers and water comes into play on seven holes. This risk-reward layout is known for having the best par-3s at the resort. One of these is the stunning 16th hole with its panoramic view of Sheep Mountain. It requires a long carry over water but the bailout area to the right provides a relatively easy up and down and the greenside bunkers don't usually come into play.
Also known as Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Nu-Wav-Kaiv Course.

The third, par-5, 557: For those who don’t drive it 300 yards, the fairway’s left side is the more favorable lay-up zone: it best opens up the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

The fifth is a long and challenging par-4 of 458, but it’s also fair from tee to cup. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Railroad-tie bunkers lie on the edge of the sixth fairway. (Par-5, 562 yards) Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Your tee shot will cross the desert at the par-3 eighth. Running the ball onto the green is dangerous; the ball tends to bounce left/downhill, leaving a difficult pitch. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

To drive this 356-yard par-4, your tee shot should cut the corner—across the desert. A great risk/reward hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Well maintained course
First time playing used a Golfnow hot deal. Course very well maintained. lots of water hazards but not too difficult to stay out of.
Another Great Golf Course
Friendly staff. Unlimited range balls. Great layout cut out of the desert. Plush fairways and super fast greens. Teed off on time and finished within 4 hours. Course was not as tough as the Wolf course but the wind was blowing hard which made it a challenge. Overall excellent experience at Paiute Snow Course. We will definitely return to play again.
Great course
Absolutely stunning course. Course was in great condition. Great course for the hot deal price.
WOW!!!! What a course
Took my son to Vegas for his 30th birthday he is not a big gambler but loves to golf. We had a 11:57 tee time and we got there early and used the driving range along with the putting area and chipping area, Got to tee box around 11:30 just ready to hang out till our tee time. As it turned out we got to go out early. Got to play with a couple of great guys Jay & Rick. What a beautiful course. We played Snow and only paid $38ea. Everthing about the round was great. Thanks, for helping us celebreate his Birthday
Great Desert Course
Wonderful course. staff there is awesome the 360 views are wonderful. Only complaint was pace of play (of course, curse of this sport) we waited and waited on every single hole But play all 3 courses there!
Beutiful course, but where was the Ranger?!?!?
They paired me with three other old hackers who were very nice members. A 3some in front of us that were half our age made us wait forever on EVERY hole. Finally saw a ranger on 14. He said he was pushing them all day, but we never saw him and certainly never saw any results. Unacceptable. Otherwise a beautiful course, fairly easy layout but some long par fours. A must play if you can afford the $ and the time. Got a hot deal that made it worth the drive.
Most amazing!!!
Played a lot of courses in my time but Paiute snow mountain course by far is the most best up kept course in Las Vegas. Greens are in excellent condition, and the fairways at this time of the year amazing. I'm definitely booking another tee time with this course.
5 Star Golf Course
Pros: Excellent condition of the fairways, greens and bunkers. Very scenic golf course with the large water hazards that look like lakes and the mountains in the distance. Beautiful clubhouse.
Cons: Windy at times.
Worth playing even in 110+ degree weather
Played 36 holes on 6/23/17 and it was worth every penny. Tee'd off on Sun Mountain at 6am and the view of the sunrise was amazing. Course was in great shape even though it was during a Vegas record of 9 days over 110 degrees. Water coolers on every 3 holes along with real restrooms (no port-a-potties). Greens were amazing. They don't break as hard as they look. Great thing is that the ranger told me that right before I teed off. Make sure you have enough memory or film cause the sites on this course are awesome. Staff was extremely friendly. They have lockers available ( for free just leave your drivers license) that can fit 2 pieces of carry on luggage easily. Was a huge help for me because I was flying out after I was done. They stored my golf travel bag as well. Also had shower access that I know the people sitting by me on my flight greatly appreciated. Only one shower though but still better than none. Played as a single on Sun Mountain and was done in 3.5 hours. Could have finished quicker but was taking so many pictures that I let a 2 some that was behind me play through. Ranger was great. Was not pushy at all but was just making sure wasn't playing too slow so people could enjoy a good paced round later in the day. Finished around 9:30am grabbed some food after the first 18 that came included in my round. If you get the golf-a-palooza package pay attention to how they say to get the food. It's better to check in at the pro shop once you finish the first 18 so they give you the food ticket. I got food first and caused a little confusion. Great thing is everyone has walkie talkies so the young lady at the turn called up to the shop and they brought down my food voucher and told me I would be teeing off at 10am on Snow Mountain. They let me go as a singyon snow as well. Ranger was really cool. There was a 2 some that teed off right before me, but tge ranger gave me the option of going straight to hole 2 and coming back to hole 1 after 18. Great views of snow mountain so get ready to take more pics! Caught a 3 some at hole 10 which combined with a 2 some since they all knew each other. Ranger came and gave me the heads up on the 5 some in front. Ranger stated that they were willing to break up into 2 three-somes if I wanted to join. Told him I didn't mind waiting cause of the great scenary and would be taking a lot of pics. Only had to wait for them in one hole. Took some pics went to the restroom and refilled every water bottle i had. After that didn't see them for the rest of the day. No wait to play snow hole 1 after 18 and was done by 1:30. Pace was great and could of played faster but slowed a bit cause of the heat. 36 holes and ate all in 7.5 hours. Grabbed a shower, ordered some food and smoked a cigar while waiting for food and an uber. Smoking lounge and restaurant overlook snow 18 and has a great view. I highly recommend this facility. Had the option of playing on wolf too but thought twice cause by that time the heat was really cranking up but gives me something to look forward to on my next trip. I collect pocker chip course markers at every course I play ( if available). Paiute was awesome cause had the chip for the facility as well as a coin for each of the 3 courses that show yardage.
If you have a day to burn in Vegas and you love golf, Dye, and great views then I highly recommend Paiute. Enjoy and stay hydrated
A must play in Vegas!
Couldn't have asked for a better day - Unusually mild for summer in Vegas - high was only 80 degrees, with only slight breezes. This course and my experience was just as great as the weather. Friendly staff - check; great course layout - check; good course conditions - double check. The greens were as smooth as you could hope for and rolled very true. Fairways were just as nice. Overall a wonderful course and extremely enjoyable round.
Should of brought a kite.
Great course, pace of play and staff. Just a lot of one off wind 10 to 35 mph.
Awesome experience.
Super nice facility. Staff was incredibly friendly. Excellent conditions. Can't wait to play there again.
Snow was a great experience
Lucked out with a Hot deal and got an amazing rate for the course. Was hot but drinking water on every hole. Winds were only bad thing that hurt my game, very gusty that day but did not reduce the quality of the course. Fairways were lush and green. Left or right and rocks and sand so bring extra balls. Would def play again or try other tracks on site.
