Snow Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
About
There are three championship courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, all of which were designed by Pete Dye. Snow Mountain is the original course, joined by Sun Mountain, which is considered the easiest of the three, and Wolf is the newest and most challenging.
At over 7,600 yards, Wolf is also the longest course in Nevada but Snow Mountain is quite lengthy as well at 7,146 yards. Dye incorporated his signature railroad-tie bunkers and water comes into play on seven holes. This risk-reward layout is known for having the best par-3s at the resort. One of these is the stunning 16th hole with its panoramic view of Sheep Mountain. It requires a long carry over water but the bailout area to the right provides a relatively easy up and down and the greenside bunkers don't usually come into play.
Also known as Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Nu-Wav-Kaiv Course.

The third, par-5, 557: For those who don’t drive it 300 yards, the fairway’s left side is the more favorable lay-up zone: it best opens up the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

The fifth is a long and challenging par-4 of 458, but it’s also fair from tee to cup. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Railroad-tie bunkers lie on the edge of the sixth fairway. (Par-5, 562 yards) Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Your tee shot will cross the desert at the par-3 eighth. Running the ball onto the green is dangerous; the ball tends to bounce left/downhill, leaving a difficult pitch. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

To drive this 356-yard par-4, your tee shot should cut the corner—across the desert. A great risk/reward hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Super nice track
Great course. Excellant shape. If you have the time play 36
Really great course
This is an excellent course for any golfer, but may be a challenge for the higher handicaps. It is in excellent condition considering the recent flood and the greens are the best I have putted on all year. If you want an enjoyable round of golf, this is a must play
Average
Lightning fast greens, 12 maybe 13, no joke!. Good thing it was a hot deal otherwise too expensive, all in all ok.
Great shape, fairways lush!
Had a great time, good flow of refreshment carts. Greens were great. Perfect day!
A solid course with a good layout
A good track. Nice use of sand and water to make shorter holes challenging. Greens were a bit hard but rolled true.
Worth the trip!
If you haven't played Paiute Sun, Snow, or Wolf, it's definitely worth the 40 minute drive from the Las Vegas strip. You can't go wrong on either of the three courses. Snow Mountain was in very good condition despite the Summer 2013 flood, and I would highly recommend Wolf if you can get on. Beautiful desert setting, extremely well-manicured, and awesome staff.
slowest round in the history of golf
This place has been under a real hardship over the last 2 months….that being said there is no excuse for letting slow play destroy everyones round on a golf course. The ranger that came out said that there was nothing they could do about it and that is pure BS. I paid $68 to play 9 holes because nobody wanted to enforce a real pace of play. It took 3 hours and 10 minutes to play the front 9 and when we finished the 9th hole there was at best 25 minutes of sunlight remaining so we left. Completely unacceptable!!
excellent course
course was beautiful with the mountains range at every tee off, the staff was amazing and helpful . The course had plenty of 5 pars to air it out a little and enough 3 and 4 pars . My wife and I enjoyed the course greatly and will return.
Looking forward to a return trip when all courses are open
Nice facility 25 mins from the strip. 3 Courses but only Snow Mtn open currently due to the floods that damaged the other two a couple of months ago.
Excellent practice facility, nice pro-shop, decent bar, didn't eat at restaurant but it looked fine. Cart girl frequent and pleasant.
Course well maintained, greens fast and tricky. Bit backed up but to be expected with only one course open.
Unusual GPS system that was as much as 10 yards off in instances, lined up 3 carts at one hole and all had different readings. That was the only real downside.
gorgeous weather brings out the crowd
Very crowded on this day but enjoyed the 14 holes we were able to get in..would play again if had the opportunity...
Great course fun to play
Pace of play to slow. Ranger did little to help. Rest of the day was great.
Fantastic golf resort!
This was the best golf resort I have played. Challenging holes mixed with pristine course conditions and breathtaking view makes this resort a must play. Easily my favorite resort in Las Vegas.
This couse has 3 courses on it and they all are great..
everything went well the course accepted my print out with my tee time with no problems.
reat tracts and ALWAYS Lush Green
This is a must play course when in Vegas. Wolf, Snow and Sun were and have always been super green fairways and greens. Super fast greens. Best driving range experieince available (unlimited range balls).
Terrific staff nad amenities!!!!
one of the finest courses I have ever played. When our group of golfers goes to Las Vegas to play for 4=5 days we always play Paiute twice.
Great course layout. Fabulous views of the mountains and the desert. The course has been in super condition every time I have played it (approx. 12 times) It has one of the best views from its clubhouse in Las Vegas.
definitely worth the half hour drive
played 36 in July. Las Vegas was 110 degrees. Paiute is only about 10 degrees less, but dry. Though the resort is about 30 miles outside of LV, it is worth the drive. Played 2 of the 3 courses and they were fantastic. Wonderful fairways and greens in the middle of the desert.
Desert gem
I have played all three Paiute courses more than once and can't say enough about what a unique beautiful layout each course has . Snow mountain is so well maintained, very challenging when the wind conditions pick up, the water and sand hazards add a significant level of difficulty despite generous fairways . I've played many of the Vegas area courses over the years , and will always come back to Paiute for its natural beauty, excellent conditions , and pace of play .
Great Course!
From what we were told this is the 1st built of the 3 Paiute golf courses. It is the 2nd one we have played in two days. And it stood up to the ratings other golfers have given it here on GolfNow! Not only is it challenging but beautiful too. And the higher elevation and mountain valley ensures a cooler round than courses in Las Vegas. I can't wait until our next trip!
The course was fun to play.
The course was in excellent shape and we played in under three hours. Staff was great I will recomend this course to all my friends.
