Snow Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
About
There are three championship courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, all of which were designed by Pete Dye. Snow Mountain is the original course, joined by Sun Mountain, which is considered the easiest of the three, and Wolf is the newest and most challenging.
At over 7,600 yards, Wolf is also the longest course in Nevada but Snow Mountain is quite lengthy as well at 7,146 yards. Dye incorporated his signature railroad-tie bunkers and water comes into play on seven holes. This risk-reward layout is known for having the best par-3s at the resort. One of these is the stunning 16th hole with its panoramic view of Sheep Mountain. It requires a long carry over water but the bailout area to the right provides a relatively easy up and down and the greenside bunkers don't usually come into play.
Also known as Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Nu-Wav-Kaiv Course.

The third, par-5, 557: For those who don’t drive it 300 yards, the fairway’s left side is the more favorable lay-up zone: it best opens up the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

The fifth is a long and challenging par-4 of 458, but it’s also fair from tee to cup. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Your tee shot will cross the desert at the par-3 eighth. Running the ball onto the green is dangerous; the ball tends to bounce left/downhill, leaving a difficult pitch. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

To drive this 356-yard par-4, your tee shot should cut the corner—across the desert. A great risk/reward hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

The best turf conditions I've seen in this area
Friendly staff, excellent turf conditions, great Pete Dye layout (snow). Hard to imagine what could ruin such conditions on my first visit here. Unfortunately two of the three players i was paired with were extremely poor players and took far to long to play which caused us to struggle to keep up in position on course. Rangers were aware and encouraged us to play faster but these two gentleman did not have a clue. Spent inordinate amount of time searching in desert for balls that were not to be found slowing pace of play terribly. I will be back in hopes of a pairing with more accomplished players ( who might break 150, or finish in under 4.5 hrs).
Two thumbs up-Go Play
The Paiute courses are superbly maintained and are challenging to play.
desert course
Beautiful desert course. Lots of dog leg fairways. Greens challenging. Well manicured course. Pristine.
Best I played while in Vegas
The snow course was in great shape and was very challenging especially when the wind picked up on the back 9. I played 3 other courses while in Vegas, but this one stands out as the best. The staff was a little bit grumpy, but that's vegas I guess. Rent a car from the strip to drive out there as its about a 30 min drive into the middle of barren land.
Fantastic golf outing
The course is immaculate. The price was very fair at $47 through Golf Now. Staff were excellent. Food and beverage was good quality and fair pricing.
beautiful course great venue
had a great tme, course, personnel all great. a little expensive, but ok if you get a golfnow deal
Challenging in the Wind!
This is the original Paiute Golf Course. We played the Wolf Course 2 days prior and prefer the Wolf over the Snow Course because the layout is a bit more challenging. The day we played the Snow Course it was very windy which made it extremely challenging but if it had been a calm day it would have been less difficult than the Wolf. The customer service is consistently excellent from beginning to end. Love playing at Paiute!
Very nice course for the money
Played the snow mountain course and its was in nice condition and the greens were soft. Great course for the money
Pretty solid
The course was beautiful, the staff friendly. The only drawback was the heartiness of the grass making rough shots difficult,
Some very fun holes, bring your wind game
All was good on the course, in great shape, and fun, but there was a marshall who came around and just stared at us, never said anything, even though we were keeping up with the group in front of us. What's up with that?
Fantastic Golf Facility
Really enjoyed our round @ Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Snow Mountain Course. Super golf facility and will play again this weekend!!
Awesome day, great conditions, excellent course
Course was in great shape. Light breeze and plenty of sun made this 85 degree day excellent. The best day of golf on any course in a long time.
vegas staple golf
Have played Paiute sun amd snow several times love them both always a great time, staff is friendly, greens are firm and the beer is cold. highly recommended.
Difficulty depends on weather conditions
A nice layout and well maintained. The day I played the winds were 15-25 mph, with higher gusts. Apparently this is not unusual, although I returned 2 days later to play the Sun course and the winds were much calmer. In wind, it can be a difficult course. Positives: nice layout with many doglegs, beautiful scenery, very friendly staff. Negatives: slow pace of play, unpredictable wind conditions.
stunning and enjoyable course
Played the 36 hole special on the Snow and Wolf Course. Visually, the course is stunning. You have to drive a little ways out of town, about 30 min from the strip. It is totally worth the drive. The course is absolutely beautiful and cleverly designed with many risk and reward holes. Many man made lakes and hilly fairways. We played on a day where the wind was very strong 25+ MPH. It played murder on so many shots. Little slices and hooks would carry the ball to the adjacent fairway. I hit a 342 yrd drive, I only average 275. It wind even affected putts. It was one of those days. But my buddies and I were having so much fun, trying crazy shots. The marshall was really on the ball moving things along on the course. You will want to stop at a pawn shop before and pick up a cheap "rock club." There are rocks surrounding each hole. If you miss the fairway and rough you will hit off rocks. Protect your precious clubs by having a club you can just destroy. It is a must if you plan on playing this course. I highly suggest this course. The fairways and greens were pristine, the layout is fun and creative, the views are outstanding, and the staff our friendly and helpful. It was a very memorable experience and totally worth the money. The island green on the 15th hole on the Wolf course is such a stunning experience. It is a must see!
Beautiful course. On-course staff friendly, club house staff not so much.
Beautfully designed and constructed course, blending into the environment in a wonderful manner. We loved it. Well maintained, greens rolled nicely but tricky. It was fun seeing a road runner running down the cart path.
The course has great service
Very nice course for the price. The greens are bouncy, but overall nice course!
The course was in great shape.
We had a great time, in spite of a tournament that delayed play throughout the course. The course was in great shape.
Consistently outstanding
I travel to Vegas at least once a year and play 3 to 4 rounds of golf each trip. Vegas offers a great selection of courses and we've played just about every track. Each of the courses at Paiute are a treat and for the money I always make it a point to play one of them each time we're out here.
