Snow Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
About
There are three championship courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, all of which were designed by Pete Dye. Snow Mountain is the original course, joined by Sun Mountain, which is considered the easiest of the three, and Wolf is the newest and most challenging.
At over 7,600 yards, Wolf is also the longest course in Nevada but Snow Mountain is quite lengthy as well at 7,146 yards. Dye incorporated his signature railroad-tie bunkers and water comes into play on seven holes. This risk-reward layout is known for having the best par-3s at the resort. One of these is the stunning 16th hole with its panoramic view of Sheep Mountain. It requires a long carry over water but the bailout area to the right provides a relatively easy up and down and the greenside bunkers don't usually come into play.
Also known as Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Nu-Wav-Kaiv Course.

The third, par-5, 557: For those who don’t drive it 300 yards, the fairway’s left side is the more favorable lay-up zone: it best opens up the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

The fifth is a long and challenging par-4 of 458, but it’s also fair from tee to cup. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Your tee shot will cross the desert at the par-3 eighth. Running the ball onto the green is dangerous; the ball tends to bounce left/downhill, leaving a difficult pitch. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

To drive this 356-yard par-4, your tee shot should cut the corner—across the desert. A great risk/reward hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/18/2025

Outstanding value.
Beautiful course with a great blend of difficulty and playability. Ample room off most tees and easy to assess holes even when playing for the first time. Fairways were probably the best I've ever seen - absolutely perfect. Greens were very fast, although a little patchy. Refreshments were very reasonably priced - it was a nice break from the normal Vegas gouging. We loved it.
Greens and fairways were in excellent condition.
We enjoyed our round on the Snow Course. Nice layout, beautiful fairways and receptive greens. A real delight.
Good Experience
Course was crowded on a Sun, but they kept the course moving along. Good experience and the greens were a highlight - fast and true.
Nice Course, Extremely Crowded For a Weekday
Lots of foursomes on the course. Scenic for a desert course. Lots of sand traps. Desert rough is VERY unforgiving, stay out of it.
Tee to Green was a feast for the eyes
The natural beauty of the surrounding area only enhanced the experience that I had at Paiute Snow Mountain.
I had played the Wolf course last year in a very stiff breeze, and it was not really as enjoyable as Snow Mountain. The tee boxes and greens were manicured, the greens were rolling smooth and true. I had a great round both in scoring and in the ambiance the course provided. It is a comebacker course for me, meaning the next time I stay in Las Vegas, I definitely will book it again.
Difficult course, but still playable for the average golfer
Have played Paiute many times. You're hard pressed to find a course in Vegas (or anywhere else) that is as beautiful. Course was in incredible condition. Fairways look like green velvet. Very glad to have golfnow, which makes courses like this affordable.
Beautiful course
Have now played Sun Mountain and Snow Mountain courses. Both were in immaculate condition. Mountain and desert views are stunning. Great value, well stocked pro shop, and nice restaurant to grab as sandwich and beverage when you complete your round.
gorgeous setting, 3 courses, Sun, Snow, and Wolf. Played the Snow
We were a twosome behind 2 foursomes, with no one in front of them. Couldn't get in front of them so the round was quite slow. Still quite a scenic course. I would love to try the other tracks there
Desert Golf with a Dye-abolical Touch
Enjoyable rolling fairways and very nice greens. The visuals are beautiful, very appealing to the eye. Most holes are in sight from the tee box and are very challenging yet playable, keep it in the fairway and you can score. Good separation between holes and a professional and friendly staff. 5+ hour round was tough in the sun and the heat, not a lot of places to hide. Shade is a non factor as there are no tall trees, it's all natural plants, scrub and small cactus plants. I can't wait to go back.
A must play
Love coming to Paiute! It is the best golf experience in Vegas. I never miss a chance to tee it up. People are great.
Good But
Found that there were a lot of holes that looked the same. Good condition and good staff.
no complaints
The Snow course at Paiute was in it's usual great shape. I couldn't rate it pristine because of too many unrepaired ball marks on the greens. Eighteen is one of my favorite finishing holes in all of Vegas golf. The layout is both challenging and yet friendly to higher handicappers. Everyone can enjoy a great day of golf there unless the wind is up, then beware!
All the Paiute courses are great!
I've played both the Sun and Snow courses. Will be playing the Wolf shortly by year's end. I'm afraid I'm too novice a golfer to really go into any nuances of either of the courses, or compare them. Conditions were pristine, however. Practice facility is off real grass, which is always a big plus in my mind. I played the whole course solo, with nobody ahead of me (remember, September = hot, so by no means was the course full), and even played multiple balls on several holes. Finished the round (2-balling about 9-10 holes) in about 3.5hrs. Awesome time. Its about a half hour from the strip, but the drive seems to go by very quickly and you are out there in no time. (P.S. Also check out Coyote Springs which I loved too! [1hr or so from strip])
Best conditioned courses
Pristine conditions on all the courses located here. I was on my game this day and playing Snow for the first time. Played the yellow tees (blues usually on most courses) and had it going before making a couple bogies coming home for a 69. Greens are very smooth and run around 10-11 on the stemp. The wind was calm for the day, but if it blows this would be extremely difficult.
Test your game here!
Staff needs work.
When we checked in, the counter person was rude and made us feel like we were 2nd class citizens because we booked on Golfnow. Course Marshals & Starter were great and very courteous plus helpful...

Great course
First time playing this course and I was very impressed. Everything was top notch about the facility. Fairways, rough and greens were in great shape. Visually a very beautiful course. It was very difficult due to the fact that we were visiting Las Vegas and played after an extreme night of drinking and only 3 hours sleep. Would play again, only sober the next time!
Desert Gem
Fabulous course with great facilities, i am looking forward to playing the other 2 courses. A must play for any golfer going to Vegas.
