Journey at Pechanga
About
Journey at Pechanga was built on the ancestral land of the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians. The land is also home to "The Great Oak," one of the largest natural growing, indigenous coastal, live oak trees in the U.S. It is estimated to be anywhere from 850 to 1,500 years old. The golf course was carefully carved from the rolling hills that stretch Pechanga Creek to the surrounding mountains. Great care was taken in creating the course in order to preserve the beautiful land that has been home to the Pechanga Tribe for countless generations. Mature California oaks frame most of the holes and the dramatic elevations provide breathtaking views of Temecula Valley. The challenging layout will reward accurate shot-making but will punish any errant shots.

Five stars
Journey at Pechanga is a top notch golf course with everything a player could want.. top notch staff, great food, excellent pro shop (probably the most fully stocked pro shop ever) excellent practice area with fully stocked range, great layout with lots of elevation change and turns ! Play here, it is worth every penny and leaves you wanting to come back as soon as you leave ! five Stars all around
Can't wait to play it when dry
Played FRI OCT 9. The course was recently reseeded and flooded o it was quite wet and cart path only, which made club selection challenging.
There are some great holes and a couple of blind landings, but the cart GPS maps are very good.
Starter was delightful and we'll play again soon once its dry.
Golf In A Swamp
I've played this course a few times before and enjoyed it. Today, it was like playing in a swamp. The fairways and rough were so wet that everything was muddy. And because of this, they stipulated cart-path-only. This combined with no marshall to speed up a very slow foursome, resulted in a 5 hour 15 minute round. It was torture.
Very Challenging Course
Unfortunately, the course recently layed seed and saturated the course with water. The course layout is absolutely beautiful. There are plenty of challenging holes that require both distance and accuracy. If you are a 10 handicap or higher I recommend you play the white tees until you are familiar with the lay of the land. The greens were in great shape with a medium to fast speed. The carts are quite nice. Water, tees, practice facility with range balls are all provided with your green fee. Enjoy.
Very soaked conditions **cart path only
Most Tee boxes flooded including fairways terrible conditions cart path only doesn’t say anything about being seeded would stay away for Atleast a month not worth the money
Great course
Great course, nice views, a must play golf course!!
Great challenge
Journey at Pachanga is a great course. The range and short game areas are tremendous.
Local knowledge of playing it would help.
The course was wet so you had no roll, of course the greens held.
Everyone has told me to play it and they are extremely correct!
Amazing
Literally the best of the best!
I played here with my sister this is the most absolute fun! I ever had at any golf course ever wonderful place I couldn’t believe how beautiful this place is well kept great staff every hole was a Journey!
Hilly course helpful starter 5 year Olds love it.
Had a great day on the Links at Pechanga. Cool holes have very dramatic vista's and capacity to drive 300+ with prevailing winds and elevation changes. Have had my longest drive of 415 on the front nine almost drove the downhill par 4. My son and I love the course becasue on the back 9 there are two spots where you drive through a stream and we make a huge splash. We usually go back and forth 6 times while he laughs his booty off. Always great shape. I think if I wanted a vanity handicap I'd play from the whites, I tested a few holes with mulligans and approaches would be far easier than the blacks. FYI. Can't beat a hot deal but even full freight it's a great day.
Golf
The golf course was in great condition. The best golf course I've played in Temecula thus far.
Resort Course
Plus side: Wonderfully maintained course. Many panoramic views. Ability to draw and fade a huge plus. Great range - balls included.
Minus side: Wished they would have told us the greens were being worked on. Made putting a little difficult at times. Ground keepers everywhere was a bit frustrating.
Will play again
Very beautiful course was in great shape great views
